Development and characterization of MgO:Nd,Li synthesized by solution combustion synthesis for 2D optically stimulated luminescence dosimetry

► MgO:Nd,Li with dosimetric properties suitable for 2D OSL dose mapping was obtained. ► Material presents high sensitivity to ionizing radiation. ► Signal is stable for the period tested (1-13 days) after short-term fading. ► OSL response presents wide dynamic range (<1 mGy-100 Gy). ► OSL is characterized by short luminescence lifetime (<30 μs).
