Thermoluminescence and dosimetric aspects of topaz from Yono Shigar mine in Pakistan

► Topaz of Yono Shigar mine in Pakistan was irradiated with gammas of 60Co and 137Cs. ► Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curve of topaz revealed a stable peak at 250 °C. ► TL response versus dose behaviour was found to be linear within 10−2-102 Gy. ► Fading of TL response was quick just after gamma irradiation. ► Reproducibility of TL response varied ∼10% within 1st and 30th cycles of reuse.
