Effect of distance between acceptor and donor on optical properties of composite semiconducting polymer films

► A facile method to calculate the energy transfer efficiency is proposed. ► The linear relationship between the rF and the rvd means the dopant aggregation. ► The dopant aggregation makes the energy transfer deviate from the Förster theory. ► Controlling the dopant aggregation is important to improve resonance energy transfer.
