Potential tunable white-emitting phosphor LiSr4(BO3)3:Ce3+, Eu2+ for ultraviolet light-emitting diodes

► White light was observed from the novel phosphor with chromaticity coordinate (0.34, 0.30). ► Resonant energy transfer between Ce3+ and Eu2+ occurs in the novel phosphor. ► This novel phosphor has potential applications as a UV-driven light-emitting phosphor.
