Investigation of three flavonoids binding to bovine serum albumin using molecular fluorescence technique

► Quenchings of BSA fluorescence by the flavonoids was all static quenchings. ► Synchronous fluorescence was applied to study the structural change of BSA. ► Binding constant, binding site and binding force were determined. ► Competition binding experiments were performed. ► One flavonoid had an obvious effect on the binding of another one to BSA.
