Synthesis and luminescence properties of glass ceramics containing MSiO3:Eu2+ (M=Ca, Sr, Ba) phosphors for white LED

► Glass ceramic containing MSiO3:Eu2+ (M=Ca, Sr, Ba) phosphors prepared. ► Derived phosphors emit intensively blue, green and yellow colors. ► Their luminescence properties and crystal structures have been investigated. ► Concentration quenching effects observed and analyzed. ► Potential application for UV chip exciting white LED evaluated.
