Energy transfer induced Eu3+ photoluminescence enhancement in tellurite glass

► TeO2-La2O3-TiO2 glass doped Eu3+ with good thermal stability elaborated. ► PL evolution of Eu3+ with temperature shows a non-conventional behavior. ► Thermally activated carrier transfer from intrinsic defects states to Eu3+ shown. ► Strong Eu3+ PL enhancement is shown in Eu-Tb codoped glass.
