Synthesis, measurements, and theoretical analysis of carbazole derivatives with high-triplet-energy

► Synthesis of two blue light-emitting Carbazole derivatives. ► Photophysical and electrochemical properties are systematically studied. ► Theoretical analysis of geometry of the ground states and the UV-vis absorption are performed with Firefly package. ► The triplet energy levels are measured to be ca. 2.83 eV.
