Synthesis of p-hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives and investigation of fluorescence binding with bovine serum albumin

► Four new p-hydroxycinnamic amides were synthesized and confirmed. ► The interaction of compounds with BSA was investigated by fluorescence and UV-vis spectral. ► ΔH, ΔG, ΔS, Kq, Ksv, n and r were calculated. ► The binding site of aromatic amides to BSA may be more accessible to Trp residues.
