Luminescent properties of a new green emitting Eu2+ doped CaZrSi2O7 phosphor for WLED applications

► Ca1−xZrSi2O7: Eux2+ phosphors were prepared by the solid-state method at various temperatures. ► Its excitation wavelength matches well with that of the emission of UV-LED. ► The critical quenching concentration is 0.05 and it occurs by dipole-dipole interaction.
