Single event photon statistics characterization of a single photon source in an imperfect detection system

The single event photon statistics measurement of a single photon source based on the Hanbury-Brown-Twiss (HBT) configuration with an imperfect detection system is studied. It is shown that the imperfect detectors, the imperfect beam-splitter and the unbalanced linear propagation efficiencies will reduce the single event Mandel Q parameter.
