Influence of sodium acetate on the volumetric behavior of binary mixtures of DMSO and water at 298.15 to 313.15Â K

► Binary solvent mixtures (DMSO + Water) were used. ► Sodium acetate trihydrate was used as an electrolyte. ► Density and sound velocity of binary solvent system in the presence of an electrolyte at different temperatures were measured. ► Apparent molar volume, partial molar volume, compressibility and partial molal isentropic compressibilites were calculated. ► Effect of different parameters on solute-solute, solute-solvent and solvent-solvent interactions have been discussed.
