Influence of 1,4-dioxane on the aggregation of bis(tetradecyldimethylammonium)butane dibromide gemini surfactant

► Effect of 1,4-dioxane on the aggregation properties of gemini surfactant is investigated. ► Micro-polarity remains almost the same up to 20% composition and thereafter increases. ► Enthalpy-entropy compensation is observed in the 1,4-dioxane-water mixed media.
