Effective preparation of 2-amino-3-cyano-4-aryl-5,10-dioxo-5,10-dihydro-4H-benzo[g]chromene and hydroxyl naphthalene-1,4-dione derivatives under ambient and solvent-free conditions

► 2-Amino-3-cyano-4-aryl-5,10-dioxo-5,10-dihydro-4H-benzo[g]chromenes were synthesized. ► Hydroxyl naphthalene-1,4-dione derivatives were synthesized. ► Seven mild basic ionic liquids were used. ► Ionic liquids were used as reusable catalysts. ► The reactions were carried out under ambient and solvent-free conditions.
