Dielectric relaxation of d-sorbitol-water mixtures using a Time Domain Reflectometry Technique

► Complex permittivity spectra of d-sorbitol-water mixtures were observed. ► From water to d-sorbitol, the dielectric loss peak shifts towards the lower frequency. ► Static dielectric constant increases with decrease in temperature. ► The relaxation time increases with decrease in temperature. ► The value of geff < 1, this indicates parallel orientation of electric dipoles in molecules.
