Study of heterogeneous interaction in binary mixtures of 2-methoxyethanol-water using dielectric relaxation spectroscopy

► Complex permittivity spectra of 2-Methoxyethanol(ME)-water mixtures were observed. ► As composition of ME in water increases the dielectric permittivity decreases. ► From water to ME the dielectric loss peak shifts towards lower frequency. ► The nonlinear behavior of ε0 and τ against XW suggests heterogeneous interaction. ► Kirkwood correlation factor & excess properties compliments heterogeneous interaction.
