Phase behaviour, microstructure and ibuprofen solubilization capacity of pseudo-ternary nonionic microemulsions

► The paper characterizes Labrasol®/cosurfactant/oil/water microemulsions. ► The cosurfactants were Solubilisant gamma® 2421 or 2429 and Cremophor® RH40. ► The microemulsions area, microstructure and solubilization capacity were evaluated. ► The PCS analysis allows detection of diluted oil-in-water microemulsions. ► The drug ibuprofen, embedded at the interface, extends the single-phase area.
