Absolute absorption cross sections for two selected lines of formaldehyde around 6625 cm−1

► The manuscript describes the measurement of absolute absorption cross sections for two selected lines in the near infrared. ► The only measurements in this region are from Staak et al. (J. Molec. Spectroscopy 229 (2005) 115-121). ► We have accurately determined the CH2O concentration by measuring their reactivity against OH radicals. ► The obtained absorption cross sections are two times lower than reported by Staak et al.
