Molecular structure of the argon-(Z)-1-chloro-2-fluoroethylene complex from chirped-pulse and narrow-band Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy

► Rotational spectra analyzed for four isotopomers of Ar-(Z)-1-chloro-2-fluoroethylene. ► Non-planar structure with argon maximizing the number of contacts with heavy atoms. ► Characteristic ArF distance of 3.46 Å is observed. ► Complete 35Cl and 37Cl and nuclear quadrupole coupling tensors determined for (Z)-1-chloro-2-fluoroethylene. ► Signs determined for off-diagonal elements of nuclear quadrupole coupling tensors.
