REMPI spectroscopy of HfF

► The spectrum of hafnium fluoride was studied using REMPI spectroscopy. ► We analyzed sixteen vibronic bands in the frequency range 30 000-33 000 cm−1. ► We found at least two states that can be used for state selectively preparing HfF+.
