Electronic spectroscopy of the B∼(0,0,0)←X∼(0,0,0) transition of DCO and lifetimes and relative quantum yields of the B∼(0,0,0) state

► Laser induced fluorescence spectrum of B-X transition of DCO. ► Rotational, centrifugal distortion and spin-rotation parameters extracted. ► Fluorescence lifetimes measured for 35 rotational states. ► Lifetimes almost independent of N, Ka, evincing little Coriolis coupling. ► Transition dipole moment and axis switching angle consistent with HCO.
