Analysis of high temperature ammonia spectra from 780 to 2100 cm−1

► New assignments are made to a recently recorded hot emission spectrum of ammonia. ► These assignments rely on a newly calculated variational line list. ► The variational calculations are found to give excellent predictions for high J energy levels.
