1H and 13C solution- and solid-state NMR investigation into wax products from the Fischer-Tropsch process

► Fischer-Tropsch produced waxes using different catalysts are compared by NMR. ► Determination of C-Chain lengths from 1H and 13C solid and solution state approaches. ► New 1H solution state NMR approach gives the most accurate results. ► Minor (∼1%) impurity species (e.g. oxygenates) vary with catalyst type.
