- Latent production capacity of novel genotype of C. gariepinus, provided molecular tool for identification and management of novel chelipede morphotypes of freshwater prawn, M. vollenhovenii for aquacultural development
- Potential aquaculture relevance of inbred and crossbreds of novel pectoral spine genotypes of commercially important C. gariepinus will facilitate its enhanced productivity as well as reveal tools for genetic improvement of the species.
- Potentials of allozyme technology as preliminary, cost effective molecular tool for marker assisted selection of desireable aquaculture production traits in low income conditions.
