Photodecolorization of Rhodamine B on tungsten-doped TiO2/activated carbon under visible-light irradiation

► W-TiO2-AC is prepared by supercritical pretreatment and sol-gel method. ► W-TiO2-AC shows high photoactivity under visible-light irradiation. ► Structure, composition and catalytic conditions affect photoactivity of W-TiO2-AC. ► 0.6% W-5% TiO2-AC composites gives the highest photocatalytic activity.
