► Biological studies provide necessary information about the metabolism and fate. ► Data will indicate persistence vis-à-vis toxicity of pesticide and metabolites. ► Metabolites were identified in vitro and in vivo conditions in Wistar rats. ► A data bank of metabolites generated for forensic and epidemiological investigations. ► Quinalphos oxon and 2-hydroxy quinoxaline, toxic metabolites, observed in all cases.
