Antiseptiques et antibactériens locaux dans la prévention et le traitement des plaies infectées

Antiseptics and local antibacterials momentarily eliminate or kill micro-organisms and/or inactivate certain viruses on living tissues. Antiseptics are used in the preparation of healthy skin before a surgical procedure or for invasive care procedures or examinations during which the skin barrier is to be broken. Their use on wounds or damaged skin has not been proven, but is still necessary and must be reserved for antiseptic aqueous solutions. Local antibacterials are used as an adjunct treatment for infected wounds, burns and certain dermatological conditions of bacterial origin or susceptible to a secondary infection.
