The influence of acute and chronic alcohol consumption on response time distribution in adolescent rhesus macaques

► Acute alcohol reduced tau, the mean of exponential component of the distribution. ► In the control group, the effect of alcohol on tau changed as the monkeys matured. ► Chronic alcohol consumption impaired this maturation in the response to alcohol. ► Alcohol discontinuation produced an increase in tau that peaked after 30 days.
