Paeoniflorin inhibits function and down-regulates HLA-DR and CD80 expression of human peripheral blood monocytes stimulated by RhIL-1β

► We induced human monocytes by rhIL-1β to imitate inflammation in vitro. ► We found that paeoniflorin inhibited the monocyte phagocytosis. ► We found that paeoniflorin inhibited TNF-α and PGE2 production of monocytes. ► We found that paeoniflorin decreased the HLA-DR, CD80 expression of monocytes.
