Role for monoaminergic systems in the antidepressant-like effect of ethanol extracts from Hemerocallis citrina

Hemerocallis citrina Baroni (Liliaceae) has traditionally been used in the treatment of depression. Administration of the ethanol extracts from Hemerocallis citrina (HCE) (90-360 mg/kg) exerted anti-immobility effect and elevated brain monoamine neurotransmitter levels in the study.
