Comparative antihemolytic and radical scavenging activities of strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo L.) leaf and fruit

► Antioxidant capacity of Arbutus unedo was evaluated using human biological membranes. ► Its leaf and fruit extracts present antihemolytic and radical scavenging activities. ► Leaf extract exhibited stronger antioxidant activity than the fruit. ► A.unedo leaf extract has potential application in oxidative stress-related diseases.
