Assessment of genotoxic potential of Cr(VI) in the mouse duodenum: An in silico comparison with mutagenic and nonmutagenic carcinogens across tissues

► Mice were exposed to 182 mg/L Cr(VI) in drinking water for 7 days. ► Duodenal epithelial cells were collected and analyzed by whole genome microarray. ► Gene changes were compared between Cr(VI) and eight mutagens and nonmutagens. ► A logistic regression classification model was built for eight mutagens and nonmutagens. ► Mutagens and nonmutagens formed two clusters; Cr(VI) clustered with nonmutagens.
