Femoral strength in osteoporotic women treated with teriparatide or alendronate

► We compared the effect of teriparatide or alendronate treatment on femoral strength in women with PMO. ► qCT scans were analyzed using FEA to estimate femoral strength for a sideways fall. ► No between treatment differences in change in femoral strength; femoral strength increased more than integral density after treatment with teriparatide.
