Scanning of genetic diversity of evolutionarily sequential Mycobacterium tuberculosis Beijing family strains based on genome wide analysis

► Five referential strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Beijing family were analysed genomically. ► Clinical strains of the lineage were subdivided using SNPs detected in the references. ► Five sublineages composing Beijing family were verified as monophyletic. ► The respective sublineages comprise several sub-sublineages. ► SNP information became available for the detailed subdivision of the lineage.
