Tumor-mast cell interactions: Induction of pro-tumorigenic genes and anti-tumorigenic 4-1BB in MCs in response to Lewis Lung Carcinoma

► Here we investigated the interaction between Lewis Lung Carcinoma cells and mast cells. ► We show that: Lewis Lung Carcinoma attracts mast cells in vivo and in vitro. ► Lewis Lung Carcinoma induces profound effects on mast cell gene expression. ► Lewis Lung Carcinoma induces a pro-angiogenic Runx2/VEGF/Dusp5 axis in mast cells. ► Mast cells express high levels of 4-1BB in response to factors released by Lewis Lung Carcinoma cells.
