- A novel adsorbent for trace PFOS removal from water was prepared by a simple method.
- Morphology, porosity, composition, and structure of adsorbent were well characterized.
- The adsorbent was successfully applied to remove trace PFOS from water at pHÂ =Â 3.
- The impact factors on the trace PFOS removal from water were systematically studied.
- Stable adsorption ability is attributed to strong interaction between CTAB and SiO2.
