Surface properties and dispersion behaviors of SiC nanopowders

- The surface chemistry of commercially available SiC nanopowders was identified.
- The correlation between the surface chemistry and dispersion medium was clarified.
- Well-dispersed nanoparticles can be explained by interparticles and surface forces.
