High-internal phase emulsions stabilized by colloidal Zr-based solid clusters

- In situ formation of Zr-based clusters allows stabilization of high-internal phase emulsion.
- pH increase causes NPs formation and strong decrease of dodecane/water interfacial tension.
- Acetylacetone acts as a steric barrier to promote NPs dispersion and HIPE stabilization.
- These emulsions are very resistant to coalescence due to NPs irreversible bridging effect.
