Explaining spin labelling results through a mean field model of cooperative polymer adsorption with excluded volume

► The adsorption energies and entropies of polymers at solid interfaces are measured. ► By the spin labelling method they show a characteristic extremum. ► This fact is confirmed as a function of different parameters. ► This behaviour is interpreted in the frame of a mean field model. ► It is retraced to the cooperative aspect of polymer adsorption.
