SE(R)RS microspectroscopy of porphyrins on immobilized Au nanoparticles: Testing spectral sensitivity and reproducibility

► We measured SERS spectra of TMPyP porphyrin from Au immobilized nanoparticles. ► Analytical enhancement factor (AEF) is between 105 and 106. ► Limits of detection (LOD) of TMPyP is ∼5 × 10−8 M. ► Spectral reproducibility indicates their possible analytical applications.
