Poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)-Schiff base, a new polymeric network and its adsorbent capability for copper ions from ethanol

► PDMS polymeric networks modified with three Schiff base has been described. ► These compounds present a remarkable swelling capability. ► Copper ions adsorption by these polymeric networks reaches 1 mmol g−1. ► Adsorption mechanism and equilibrium constants were defined for copper ions adsorption.
