Alkane vapor and surfactants co-adsorption on aqueous solution interfaces

► Hexane vapor adsorbs at the surface of a water drop and leads to a significant decrease in surface tension. ► In presence of the surfactants, the effect of hexane co-adsorption is enhanced significantly and rapidly. ► In a pre-saturated hexane atmosphere the decrease in surface tension is almost instantaneous.
