In this report we describe the synthesis, characterization of fluorescent silica coated magnetic hybrid nanoparticles. These nanoparticles have been synthesized by combining the co-precipitation, polymerization and sol–gel technology with fluorescent dye. And their size can range from about 80 to 90 nm in diameter. The nanoparticles were characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM), fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, spectrofluorometer, X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) and an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Concluding, this report has provided simple and efficient method for the design of new water-soluble fluorescent silica coated magnetic hybrid nanoparticles for biomedical, analytical and catalytic applications.
