Insomnia symptoms in South Florida military veterans with epilepsy

► We examine insomnia symptoms in US veterans with epilepsy. ► Forty percent of veterans with epilepsy had insomnia symptoms. ► Insomnia was associated with psychiatric diagnoses, lamotrigine, and post-traumatic epilepsy. ► Female gender and levetiracetam treatment were protective for insomnia. ► Screening for insomnia should be part of routine epilepsy care.
