Effective group-based memory training for patients with epilepsy

► This is the first study of memory rehabilitation outcome in groups of patients with epilepsy. ► Strategy use, verbal memory, and self-reported prospective memory improved. ► Baseline memory, age, education, level of depression, and number of antiepileptic drugs affected outcome. ► Outcome was not affected by illness duration, seizure frequency, or side or site of lesion. ► Remediation can help patients with everyday memory difficulties.
