Predicting psychogenic nonepileptic seizures with the Personality Assessment Inventory and seizure variables

► Multivariate predictors of nonepilectic seizures and epilepsy were compared. ► Personality Assessment Inventory, clinical, and seizure variables were used. ► Conversion symptoms, years, and length of seizures classified 84% of patients. ► Cut scores produced strong discrimination between seizure groups. ► Predictors are easily and cost-effectively obtainable by self-report alone.
