Chondroitinase ABC promotes plasticity of spinal reflexes following peripheral nerve injury

► A spinal reflex, wind-up, collapses after peripheral nerve injury. ► Lentiviral delivery of ChABC leads to widespread CSPG digestion. ► ChABC treatment protects wind-up from PNI-mediated collapse. ► Low threshold polysynaptic reflex amplitude increases with ChABC treatment. ► Maladaptive plasticity was not detected by behavioral pain testing.
