Exacerbated CSF abnormalities in younger patients with Alzheimer's disease

► Age is the most important risk factor for developing Alzheimer's disease (AD). ► We studied the relationships between age and CSF biomarkers among 966 patients. ► In AD patients, aging was associated with higher CSF amyloid 1-42 and lower Tau levels. ► Inversed relationship was observed in non-AD patients. ► The impact of age on CSF biomarkers levels was more pronounced in women than men.
