Increased coupling and altered glutamate transport currents in astrocytes following kainic-acid-induced status epilepticus

Following kainic acid induced status epilepticus, astrocytes were found to: ►have significantly faster decay time kinetics of glutamate transporter-dependent currents ►have increased dye coupling and expression of connexin 43 ►have no changes in potassium currents.
