► Long-range temporal correlations (LRTC) were studied in patients with schizophrenia. ► LRTC of alpha and beta oscillations were attenuated in patients. ► Cross-frequency correlations of exponents were larger in patients than controls. ► Temporal dynamics of neuronal oscillations are compromised in schizophrenia.
